他是課堂上嚴(yán)肅認(rèn)真、耐心細(xì)致的體育老師;他是生活里帥氣陽光、幽默風(fēng)趣的“校園男神”;他愛好廣泛、酷愛戶外運(yùn)動(dòng)，渾身上下洋溢陽光向上的正能量;他爽朗不失細(xì)膩，一臉笑容永不缺席，他就是深受中加楓華國(guó)際學(xué)校學(xué)生喜愛的BC外教——Matthew Collins。

Matthew Collins是楓華BC高中部體育指導(dǎo)兼體育部主管，2014年從維多利亞大學(xué)畢業(yè)后，Matthew Collins便來到中國(guó)，在楓華任教。學(xué)期末，我們有幸約到了Matthew Collins并進(jìn)行了簡(jiǎn)單的采訪，讓我們走近Matthew Collins，傾聽他的故事!

你是什么時(shí)候來?xiàng)魅A的，為什么選擇了楓華

I chose Sino-Canada because I wanted a new adventure and stayed because the amazing teaching environment that Sino-Canada offers. The staff and students are very friendly and teaching here has been the perfect start to my hopefully long teaching career.

我是四年前來到楓華的。我選擇楓華是因?yàn)槲蚁Ｍ幸淮涡碌奶诫U(xiǎn)之旅，我選擇留下是因?yàn)闂魅A提供了優(yōu)越的教學(xué)環(huán)境。這里的教職工和學(xué)生都非常友好，能在這里教學(xué)是我理想中漫長(zhǎng)教育生涯的開始。

作為體育老師，談?wù)勼w育課程的重要性

As one of the Physical Education teachers, our goal is to introduce a variety of sports to students from grades ten to twelve. This enables students to explore various types of physical activity and hopefully find a form of fitness that they can implement in their daily lives, even after they leave our program.

作為一名體育老師，我們的目標(biāo)是將各項(xiàng)體育運(yùn)動(dòng)介紹給10到12年級(jí)的學(xué)生。讓學(xué)生可以探索不同種類的體育活動(dòng)，并很有可能因此找到他們?cè)谡n后依然愿意在日常生活中進(jìn)行的健身項(xiàng)目。

學(xué)生有沒有做過一些讓您難忘的事情

Students are always finding ways to impress me at Sino and that’s because they are all so talented in their own ways. Student Representative Council is constantly find new ways to improve our school. Choir, Dance and Drama are always putting on amazing events and I haven’t even mentioned our high level athletes yet. We have students that help clean our ground and recycle and students that draw and paint beautiful art all over our hallways. I literally can’t overstate how special our student body is and how much they are learning and growing as people by being a part of our program.

楓華的學(xué)生一直在給我驚喜。因?yàn)樗麄兛偸且运麄兏髯缘姆绞缴l(fā)著才華。學(xué)生會(huì)一直在尋找新的方法改善我們的學(xué)校，合唱團(tuán)，舞蹈團(tuán)和戲劇社也一直舉辦精彩的演出，更不用說我們還有非常高水平的運(yùn)動(dòng)員們。我們的學(xué)生會(huì)幫助清理場(chǎng)地，回收利用廢棄資源，遍布BC樓走廊墻上的美麗的藝術(shù)圖畫也是我們學(xué)生的作品。我真的不能夸大我們的學(xué)生有多特別，他們?cè)跅魅A學(xué)習(xí)并成長(zhǎng)，因?yàn)樗麄兪俏覀傿C的學(xué)生。

作為戶外社團(tuán)負(fù)責(zé)人，請(qǐng)您介紹一下戶外社

Mr. Stevens and Myself are a big part of Outdoor Club. Our Club allows for students to make friends, explore their own country and take a break from their studies. This year we have gone rock climbing, are going snowboarding and skiing in Changbaishan, visiting hot springs and also planning a hiking and camping trip.

Mr. Stevens和我都是戶外社團(tuán)的負(fù)責(zé)人。在我們的社團(tuán)里，學(xué)生可以交到志同道合的朋友，探索他們自身的邊界，暫時(shí)從學(xué)習(xí)壓力中掙脫出來。這一學(xué)年，我們組織了攀巖活動(dòng)，下學(xué)期將有一次長(zhǎng)白山滑雪活動(dòng)，溫泉之旅，還計(jì)劃組織一次徒步和野營(yíng)旅行。

您覺得教師在教學(xué)方面應(yīng)該具備哪些技能

I think it’s very important to understand the needs of our students. One of the most valuable skills a teacher can have is connecting with students and understanding how each individual has their own learning style. Having a passion for teaching and always carrying one’s self with a positive attitude is critical.

我認(rèn)為能夠理解學(xué)生的需求是非常重要的。與學(xué)生互動(dòng)并了解每位學(xué)生如何擁有他/她自己的學(xué)習(xí)方式，是一位教師應(yīng)具備的其中一項(xiàng)最寶貴的技能。對(duì)教學(xué)有熱情，總是以積極的態(tài)度展現(xiàn)自己，這一點(diǎn)至關(guān)重要。

您認(rèn)為學(xué)生除了專業(yè)知識(shí)還需具備哪些能力

Being an academic in school is certainly a priority however I do think that students in our program, learn valuable life lessons that extend further than just reading, writing and numeracy. I think leadership skills, presentation skills and social skills are developed through our program which also give our students the best chance for success.

在學(xué)校做好一個(gè)學(xué)生當(dāng)然是首要任務(wù)。但我確實(shí)認(rèn)為，在我們BC，學(xué)生更多學(xué)習(xí)的是人生課程，而這些課程不僅僅是閱讀、寫作和算術(shù)。我認(rèn)為在BC，學(xué)生可以培養(yǎng)自身的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力、演講技巧和社交技能，這些技能幫助我們的學(xué)生走向成功。

教育就是一棵樹搖動(dòng)另外一棵樹，一朵云推動(dòng)另外一朵云，一個(gè)心靈喚醒另一顆心靈,一談到學(xué)生，Matthew Collins打開話匣子，言語里難掩喜悅和自豪。

一個(gè)人的幸福感取決于對(duì)自己**價(jià)值的理解和熱愛。教育，這個(gè)讓人心甘情愿付出、沉醉的詞語，滌蕩在Matthew Collins心中最明凈的位置，正如他在采訪中所說：“對(duì)教學(xué)有熱情，總是以積極的態(tài)度展現(xiàn)自己”，在四年任教生涯里，他專業(yè)于教學(xué)發(fā)展、專心于自我提升、專注于學(xué)生成長(zhǎng)，以一顆赤子之心踐行自己的教學(xué)夢(mèng)想。祝愿新的一年里，Matthew Collins**順利、萬事勝意!
